corning area ice?????

thinking of heading that way around noon today, hows the ice down south? can we get on the ponds safe?

Try adding a state or better yet, pose your question in that state's board.  ;D

That far south.??......A week ago there was ZERO ice that far south.  CAREFULL!!!

o.k.  here is the eye witness report. 

Hooper-2" with open water
Aquabi-1" with lots of open water
DMACC pond-2" with open water
Easter Lake-less then 1"  lots of open water
Badger-1" open water
Fort Des Moines pond-2" some open water

Basically, not at all what I would have imagined.  I guess we're STILL going north.  It's supposed to warm up again too.   >:(  I would say stay off the ice around Des Moines.  I can't beleive there isn't more ice yet.  Everything opened back up mon.-tues. so the lakes have start over again...I guess there's next year.  I am going to look again tommorow but I'm staying home today.
