I was out at Lost Lake yesterday (and heading back today) where I found the ice to be 5-6inches every whole I drilled.  The ice is making noise which is a good sign.  Good Luck

That's crazy!  Lost Lake and Big Creek always seem to make ice faster.  wonder why that is...I suppose it has to do with the clean water.  A month or so ago I was on 6" at big creek/lost lake and hooper and aquabi where completely open.  I guess it's just a lil' further north.  Thanks for the update.  I might go there tommorow.

Well, after several hours and about a dozen wholes I had no luck out there on Lost Lake.   I guess good ice doesn't necessarily mean good ice fishing.  Either way it was great to get out again after that warm spell.  Furthermore, there was a kid about 10 years old across the channel that caught about 10 Crappie over the course of 40 or so minutes.  All I know is he was using minnows.  As tough as it is to say, I was out fished by a 10 year old.
