M-46 & north is da only safe hardwater I've been able to find & even there it was iffy. Stopped by Lake Fenton on the way home yesterday & 1" skim ice. I'm gonna take a look at my favorite Livingston co. honey hole on Sunday morning for what might be a one hit wonder for the season.
Temp starts climbing Sunday afternoon & imo it's over down here.

All the clear ice is 4-5 Livingston county near Washtenaw border, out on it now! And new personal best 37"  ;D

Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

I live about 20 minutes Southeast of Fenton/Holly and was able to scout three of my go-to lakes today. All had safe ice (4-6") and they were almost all locked up. There were  shanty's even on Maceday almost to the drop off, off of the boat launch.
