Smelting ?

Anybody that's been smelting, have you seen one tide or another thats been running better this year? Are they coming better on the incoming or the outgoing? Thanks

It depends where you are. Some eddies are better for incoming tides,  others for outgoing.  Some eddies have good fishing for both tides.  Other factors come into play like daylight or dark,  recent storms and snow cover.  With experience you can look at a spot in a river and know when it will be most productive.

Even if I don't catch any fish I still have fun.  It's all about being outdoors and enjoying the peace and quiet.......
