Pop up not popping up

I bought a used cabellas pop up. I never asked to see it be setup as I assumed "it's a pop up like every other and should be a breeze"

Well,... I struggled with this thing for half an hour before giving up and not getting it setup.
**censored** is wrong with this thing? I called the guy I bought it from and he said, "it should pop up in like a minute"
So I tried again,... Nothing!

I tried tying rope to the pulls and reefing on it and, nothing...
Am I doing something wrong?

Tried my buddies clam and it was a breeze!

Please help! I'm sick of dumping money into ice gear already, I don't want to buy anything else.

On my clam summit it says to pop the roof up first, I never tryed to pop it up without doing the roof first so I dont know if it will make that big of a difference, take it to the guy you got it from and  tell him to pop it up in a minute if he cant do it he has no choice but to give you your money back

I didn't just buy the tent though so.... I dunno if he'd be willing to give me my money back

I'd have had that thing in 87 pieces by now, and put a serious hurtin on a 30 rack....I envy your patience.  Maybe opening it upsde down..Put the roof on the floor and pull the sides down?

It's my guess that you are just prating to each other, as, dmm26 has not been on line since LAST MONTH.
