Title: Opinions on best ice line for panfish
Post by: zip7111 on Dec 20, 2014, 05:18 PM
Looking for opinions pros/cons on ice line for panfish.  I do not like colored line, looking for clear options only.  I have used Gamma ESP 2lb and Pline flouroice ice in 2lb with good results.  Looking to see if there is something I am missing, or if those are still 2 good options.  Thanks,
Steve

I use what I can get my hands on. I hate those one shot filler spools Like Micro ice. Myself I used Vanish Floro in 2 lb.  Triline clear in 2 lb is another line I use is their a difference in catch rate?  Nope none. I am not a fan of Stren  just my feelings I lost lots of decent fish on it and although it was fine when I spooled it within a few weeks it was like no knot strength. I've landed good Eye's , Pike and Trout on that 2lb some fish to 7lbs without a problem. I also fish in a heated hut which line memory doesn't effect things as much. So again unsure what you want to know here its a personal preference on line manufactures not a fad.

2# Berkley vanish flouro, invisible under water, don't absorb water thus sinks faster!!  This is 100% flouro, not a flouro coating!!
