« on: Dec 12, 2022, 12:15 PM »
Hello
I used to have a bottle of blue liquid to add to my minnow water . I don't what happened to it and I  cant find it on line. Is there another product or diy method that neutralizes the ammonia? Thanks to all

Cabela's sells Better Bait in crystal form. A 2 oz bottle will last many seasons since you only need a pinch of it. I bought a bottle about 4 years ago and after using it all year long, im just now getting to the last 1/4 of the bottle.

This stuff is just dechlor solution and salt.  I used to fish stripers/wipers with live shad often. Product was called Shad Saver/Bait Saver.  Another guide told me to switch to non iodized water softner salt and dechlor the water if using tap.  Saves a ton of money and works just as well.  1 cup of salt per 10 gals of water is the ratio.
