I wear the old stand by brown bibs if it isn't going to wet, but if it is I wear the cabelas duck hunting bibs. staying dry is so nice.

I wear Carhart Artic bibs with plain ole non insulated pants underneath, a thick T shirt, then a nice insulated shirt. I wear a Columbia coat, one of those three way kind. Then one pair of white tube socks in my Baffen Impact boots. I rarely wear gloves but when I do I have a pair of gortex kind.

This is my third or fourth season in my clam ice armour suit and I could not be happier. I would have bought a second one this year if I thought o could squeeze into a medium

Arctic Armour - Cabelas TransAlaska boots (studded as per rg).
Used to do the carhart thing and that was OK till they got wet.

A can of camp dry waterproofing spray works wonders on carharts. When its really slushy and I plan on doing alot of kneeling down I have a pair of heavy duty yellow rain bibs I put on over the carharts..

This is tough, because you can only vote for one.
I use several on the list depending upon temps and conditions.

I still use Carrharrt, but I'm gonna change that soon. I'm sick of getting sopped up with water! I need a suit that has a removable hood and wont cost me an arm and a leg.

Good pair of waterproof boots, warm socks, fleece lined jeans, under armor long sleeve, insulated hoodie, and a skull cap.

artic armor gets my vote. very very warm, and you will float if you go in. might give you a fighting chance to live to fish another day.

i've fished in the arctic extremes for 4 years now...a lot of the time on my knees or butt directly on the ice...never water-proofed...OR GOTTEN WET! now the regular carhartts on the other hand..... $:-\$

Leather snowmobile suit, leather snowmobile gloves, Sorel Glaciers, and a fur hat, but once the shack is set up and the heater on, just the leather snowmobile bib pants and the boots.

Purchased the artic armor plus last winter. Super job of keeping you warm, specially in the wind. Waterproof another definite advantage. Biggest difference I see, besides keeping me warmer than my carhartt's is the fact that they are SO lightweight. Fishing all day and wearing the coveralls just wore my back out.

I will. As far as the quility, I can tell you it is second to none.I have looked at several suits and this was the best that I have seen.

I have worn the red and black IDI Arctic Armor the last two years agree with Drifter106. the weight of the suit compared to Carhartts is night and day. Previously used Carhartts Arctic Extreme bib overall and a Columbia sports wear coat on colder days. Also used lighter weight Carhartt bib in warmer weather.When I started ice fishing used military surplus wool pants with rain pants over the top of them.
