Man, glad I didn't listen to this guy!  Had awesome conditions and flags flying with quality fish from wednesday until saturday at sunset.  Pike, Pickerel and Panfish through a safe 3.5"-4" of ice.  Oh yeah, in NORTHERN JERSEY!  Saw some NJF'ers as well as some IceShanty guys out as well, everyone seemed to be catching pretty consistently!  Some ice survived the warmth and rain, so this weeks cold front should set us up for another nice weekend on ice!

No ice is safe but 3" of clear black ice will hold any guy that's able to walk on ice.

To each their own. I will go out on 4" but only certain places that are shallow and such. As bad as I want to get out I'm thinking the weekend after this for myself. Be safe all.
