What is the exterior material?  Do you care about cosmetics?

Thompson Waterseal?

Linseed or tung oil for rough wood finish?

Staple or glue poly tarp tight on all sides?

The outside is covered in luan... My roof is made out of a very durable but flexible laminated countertop that has been left behind by the old house owners. Water and snow run right off...

What about condensation on the inside? Will it run or shake right off?

It is always frosted over on the roof when I open it up to fish... and then runs and drips constantly when I run the heater...

I have a big roll of black rubber tarp for building that was left over from our garage. I also have more blue foam board, do you think if I staple some of the black rubber tarp to the top and then place my foam board up in the roof and spray foam around the corners to hold it in place it will stop the dripping??
