squid bait
« on: Jan 05, 2015, 08:04 AM »
Anyone try and have sucess with squid for both yellow and white perch? ....heck i'd think all panfish should pounce on a tiny thin strip tipped jig.     Curious ..i have easy access to fresh stuff.   cheap and easy to care for, precut it and freeze for next outing.    Would flutter like a small soft plastic.

Gonna throw a buffet at them, .....7.00 a doz minnows in my area plus gotta drive outa way to get them so I keep playing around with alternatives.  Powerbait ,shrimp pieces ,earthworms have worked fine for me and gonna add squid to menu.  I dont know why i didnt think of trying it in past.   I should try clam too.    I'll spring for waxworms though .
