The weather is looking pretty good (similar to today) and there's a Free BBQ and Raffle ticket. So it's just the cost of your gas...
Its primary objective was to get a bunch of us together to enjoy and event where You can meet your fellow ice anglers, put a name with a face and talk Fishing.
The BBQ and Raffle are just an added incentive.
We do it in March because the other Derbies are usually all done with and it's still too cold for open water or much yard work... So why not come down and hang out and make some new buddies? ;)

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Unit arrived a little over a week and a half ago. I have used it on 3 short trips or about 9 hours of use on a local pond. So far, no regrets. My only complaint is that it does not automatically make what you see, bite! I'll take the blame for that one.
Definitely makes my fishing a little more interesting and productive. Always had other priorities in past years. Even on sale, they are not cheap. I will have to work on the profile, I am in the Concord area.

Remember to charge the battery after each outing .. get the battery to room temperature for best result .

See I do the opposite I wait for it to die or almost die before charging I've had mine for three or four seasons and still on the original battery. I fish 5 or 6 days a week and get almost the whole week before charging

Just like a car battery ...you wouldn't run your car's battery completely dead...after it low all sorts of crazy things can happen.

I've never come across any crazy things happening..... I have been doing it like that since I bought it.

??? Digs that a philosophy left over from decades ago. Our survey instrument battery even cam with a discharger to drain the battery before recharging. Modern battery, even alkaline, are best recharged regularly and rarely allowed to run dead?
