for the eyes......

Question for you successful walleye ice fisherman.... What is your go to line and jig for catching eyes through the ice? Still trying to learn the art!

Jigging rap, color depends on the day, and I use 6# vanish

Jigging rap or swedish pimples for me.  I have used a lot of 6 and 8 lb mono over the years.  I keep giving braid a try, but it ends up in a ball of ice after a while.

Jigging Raps are my go-to for sure and I love using braid with raps. With no stretch you get better and more erratic action out of the lure. As far as color goes, I have the best luck with the chrome bottom colors. I usually never untie Clown, but Blue/Silver can also be a good color.
