I tried to get a quad on from the east side tonight... ice was still a foot thick about 15 feet out from shore but water was 2-3 feet deep up to it. Unable to climb up on ice with the quad and water is over boots... west side? Probably worse with all the traffic and the ditch... hipwaders and climb up on ice would work for sure for a day or two more...

Some of those perch are pretty aggressive there, you could probably troll a spinner and worm on a bottom bouncer and do well. Jigging will definitely work too

The Shoal lakes are big and shallow so be safe. Access could be an issue as those lakes are surrounded in marsh. I would think a good point to get near the water would be off the road allowance at the Erinview church.
