Best fish 9 3/4" brought a few smaller gills home. Waxies /red glow Drop jig 3mm

I released the 9 3/4" fish. Just dont have the heart to keep 'em over 9"...

Good for you; if you want more big fish you have to let some big fish go. Read an interesting article saying the big males are especially important to release, which was kind of the opposite of what I thought. I caught a silly number of gills on Sun. myself, but only a handful over 8". I kept the first one I got but released maybe five the same size or larger, since I was catching some nice crappie.
