I have a old jiffy 2hp and it was running great.
I ran it for months with out a problem and at the end of the last day fishing
It lost all its power , couldn't cut a hole . It idles great , but it dies out with a load on it .
Do I need to adjust the high speed needle or low speed?
Would it be lean or rich ?

Debris clogging the main jet ~ Clean it out.
Always filter incoming fuel through a 100 mesh brass screen. ;)2

Does it die when you hit the throttle or only when you are trying to cut holes? If it's only when cutting holes you might need new blades.

Thanks guys , took the cover off to see the jet and there was varnish in there.
Took it apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner , should be good to go I'll test it out later
Cheers

Try changing the spark plug

Add some Seafoam to your gas, it'll help clean up your fuel system and keep it clean.

glad you fixed it your self!

i use this stuff in every thing. you can buy it in one gallon bottles at napa for about 50$. it's the only safe additive for 2 cycle, but is for all engines.
walmart has the best small can price, 6/7$

StarTron small engine is good for two strokes also.
