Here it is, anyone who has them post them and lets see your burbot, ling, lawyer, eelpout, and cusk. Post a comment with you picture, but no coments without pictures. So if anyone asks what a burbot is send them here.
(i'm going to try to revive this topic, so any pictures that don't show up I'll get rid of, starting with mine ;))

My battle with a mighty Green Bay pout. I had a bad migraine so I was trying to take a little nap in the shanty. I had just fallen asleep (rod in hand) of course, when this fish rudely woke me up.

My wife with a 13.4 pounder that she caught (her best one so far), too bad I dropped the camera down the hole after the shot, because I caught a 13.6 pounder about an hour later :o. The camera works now due to my quick hand recovery, but was out of commision for a month or so.

Great indeed! Sounds like the burbot might be starting the frenzy soon. I'll be fishing Gull during the Easter break and hopefully at least once before that.
Hunters08, Gull Lake is up in central Alberta, Canada.

what state are you catching the burbot?
Yep as SNAP said those are Alberta burbot, they are starting to spawn so the bite is really pickin up.

-
man those are sweet! How do they fight in the cold water?
-
They fight pretty good, the 29" i hooked into gave up a really good fight, gave quite a few good runs, but not the best fighting fish forsure, they like to swim in circles and pull, thats about it.
-
Personally, I think burbot fight the least pound for pound of any fish in Saskatchewan. It's just like dragging weight through the hole most of the time, although they can give you one or two head shakes or attempt to make a run. We usually catch them in the same places as big pike, so after you land a 40" pike, no burbot is going to feel like a very good fight so that could be why I think they are so lazy.

Yeah its pretty easy to tell the difference between a pike and a burbot fight forsure.
-
I am going to come up there some day!!!! Been wanting to hunt and fish there for awhile now
-
Yeah phenomenal hunting up here, fishing is fairly decent hard to find lakes with big fish and hard to get one them unless you know someone, some really good lakes with lots of good numbers, but if you want really good fishing i would suggest heading more east such as Saskatchewan and Manitoba, lots of awesome fishing over there.
-
Yep, 11 months of world class fishing and world class deer and bear hunting are within 2 hours of my front door in any direction  I love Saskatchewan.

The biggest of the night
(http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee69/joser06/DSCN0290.jpg)
That was the nights catch, we were only fishing for 3 hours as we had to leave for another lake for lake trout fishing in the morning. We left them biting. The largest one caught had a lake trout in its belly. That's my friends size 14 foot next to the fish.

Okay, one more from last year to whet you guys' appetite! :)
Hooked around 11:05 PM, six pound test line, on the ice at 11:22, officially weighed 20.4 pounds at fisheries office next day. They are doing research on large burbot, and want to take otoliths and stomach contents.
She really whacked a yellow spoon in six feet of water.
Had loaned all my heavier gear out to friends who were out with us that night, so was using my light trout outfit with no leader. Lots of fun. When I finally got the fish on the ice, the line was all rasped up, and parted about four inches ahead of the lure with barely a tug.
Haven't been on the ice yet this winter, but just got back home from down South, and will be heading out this week.
