Are you taking a boat in or do you have permission?  All of the surrounding land is owned by a sporting club that does not allow access.  Last I knew anyway.

There is a way on from 66, but I would not go on any Ct river cove after all this rain. You might get stuck out 20 to 30 feet of open water at high tide

wrights is right off of rte 66. there is a right of way to the water but the caution that was mentioned is to be taken seriously. when the river is up or at high tide- access is an issue.

white oaks cove is near wethersfield and is NOT open to the public. the land around it is owned by a fish and game club.
many years ago, some kid broke a leg or arm and the family sued the club. sadly- that got it closed to the public.

wethersfield cove is open to the public and is quite popular. again, high water is an issue for access.

good luck and be safe.
