Baffin Boots....
« on: Jan 13, 2017, 04:21 AM »
Anyone have or tried these brand boots? They are rated to -94°F. I just put a pair on layaway. Want to get some input before i go pay them off. Thanks ~IM

There have been hundreds of boot threads over the last few years.

Baffin always generates some positive feed back among the masses.

Weight seems to be the the one negative assessment.

Love warm feet and love my Baffins.  Will buy them again if I need another pair.  On about year 8 and they show no signs of needing replacement.

I have Baffin crossfires.  They are a little bulky but not bad. Pretty comfortable and well they keep my feet warm.  I even broke thru shore ice and flooded them and my foot was cold at first but after walking back to the house my foot warmed up but was just uncomfortably wet.  Would definitely buy them again and am thinking about getting a pair of the Impact boots for snowmobiling or colder days.

My Baffins are the single best investment I've ever made for ice fishing (well, right after the $10 I spent on skis for my smitty sled).

I have Baffin Impacts and they are light. Lighter than most boots on the market by a long ways. Nothing heavy about them.

I have Titans and Impacts. The Titans are heavier but the Impacts are the lightest boot I have ever had outside of when I was a kid with moon boots. I love them and will buy them again.

I too bought Impacts 3 years ago and and very happy with them....I wore Mickeys for 10yrs before that, warm as heck.but real heavy....I needed lighter boots with better traction and did a lot of research.....
I really like how high they are.....not only do they keep most of your lower leg warm but the extra support is a plus.....

Was looking into getting a pair of Impacts, my concern is that I can get my striker hardwater bibs around boots?

I also wear the Titans and I really like them, they are incredibly comfortable and warm. As others have said they are a little bulky but absolutely worth the trade off in my opinion. I do need to unzip my legs a bit to get my bibs over them, so if your bibs don't have zippers on the legs that may be a problem.

My weakness is that my feet get cold easy. I have a pair of Baffin Control Max and my feet have NEVER even been chilly let alone cold in them. Some of the best money I've spend on outdoor/sports stuff.

I was in the same boat as you.  I was trying to decide between Baffin Wolf boots or Cabella's Inferno 2000 Pack boot.

I went with the Cabella's boot only because it is 100% waterproof where as the Baffin isn't; at least the particular boot I was looking at.  I just ordered my Cabella's Inferno boot tonight and paid $110 shipped.
