lol, i have heard of this ;D after a year or two you would think it was nice and stretched out, maybe its just from the storage or something, try setting it up and leaving it up for a couple days and see if that stretches it back into shape ???

I like to leave mine set up...Usually after a trip I reassemble my shappel in the gargage and kee it that way until the next trip..this year I had it set up most of the summer as well. The doors and window flaps left open..this way no shrinkage...and if any pesky creatures want to get in, they have an open door and wont chew thru

I'm thinking Mac is on the right track  ;D  I've noticed the same shrinkage phenomenon in my Trap Pro.

I have a shappell shanty (great shanty by the way) but I noticed that last year....after it had been in storage all summer I could barely get the thing together.  once I got it togetehr I had a hard time getting the doors to zipper shut.  After the first use though it was fine for the rest of the season....

my dad had a problem with his shappell.  He absolutely could not get it too stretch out enough to set up.  He ended up taking the metal frame part off and cutting about a half an inch or so off the bottoms of the poles.

Sorry Arch.
Didn't mean to post that one at your expense.
You were right, and you were genuinely trying to help the guy.
I was having some fun, poking fun at myself and my inability to drop a few tons and also my insatiable appetite for new gizmos.
Again, sorry partner.
Mac

I've had my shappelle going on 11 years now. Every year the first couple of time I set it up it seems tight but it streches with usage.

This is the 3rd season for mine and I have noticed the same thing. I think that is a good thing because at least it isn't streaching out more and more and getting too loose on the frame. Having the sides flapping loosely in the breeze would be quit annoying !
