I was on Carry bay this morning. Plenty of ice(4-5") where the pike and bluegill fishermen set up. I wouldn't walk out into the middle though...there is ice on the whole bay but the middle section needs another day or two to firm up.

I was after sunnies, didn't do well at all. There were two guys pike fishing that were busy chasing flags, I saw one nice fish, a few small ones.

I fished Carry Bay on Saturday...I fished off Savage point between savage and graveyard points...I had good ice closer to shore and fished on 3 inches of black towards the Alberg passage and the rail road trestle...there was open water about 100yrds from my furthest tip up...did pretty well, caught 7 pike and 3 pickerel, and lost about 5 or 6...I hate loosing fish... >:(  The biggest one was 27 inches maybe 4#'s

I got a nice fish there recently. I'd put up a pic if I knew how. It was 42 inches at 15 lbs. In addition to this fish I got several in the 6 or 7 pound range, and at least 25 fish in the 2-5 pound range. All in one day!

no that was December 30, 2007. I was supprised because I had never fished that area before, and my buddy and I could barely keep 15 tilts in the water, I think we had 20 in by the end of a 9 or 10 hour day.

Yea, there's ton's of 8 pounders in that area, I never thought I'd say this, but I actually get sick of catching anything under 10 pounds in there! Great fishing.

You need to upload the pictures to a site like photobucket.  Then you can copy and paste into your thread.

its easy....

go to www.photobucket.com  make a user name and password.  Log in and upload your photos (you will see the "browse" button.

Once they are uploaded, click on the word IMG[ ] underneath the photo you want to post.  It will copy the link.  Post it right in the box where you want the picture to appear and thats it.

Sorry dude, I'm not one for spilling the big one :-X. I'll tell you Carry bay is my favorite place to fish, but I can't bring myself to say how to fish it or to tell the best areas of my favorite spot. Put in some time and you'll be successful. I figured out this place in a few days. The pics I have up on this post were all caught within the first 3 times I ever fished this bay. Good luck and tight lines!
