Some pictures of the boys with their hauls...

Here's what we ended up keeping for the day... Little one made it about 200yrds in the sled before he crashed!

I end up keeping more fish when the kids come, but they really enjoy providing for the family!

Trout nuggets, homemade tartar, slaw, potato pancakes, applesauce, and some French bread...

Posted a couple pics on Imjur... somebody commented "wash a plate you animal"!!
Thought that was great I replied that the dinner we harvested wasn't packaged in plastic wrap, styrofoam, or cardboard... could have gone on and on but felt like that summed it up well enough!!

Yeah I'm pretty sure I can still outrun them in the 40 at least and in one-on-one on the bball court ,but that's only because I know some tricks... my days are definitely numbered out fishing them on the ice however. Doesn't hurt my feelings to much though

They were in the skin. Couldn't feel any bumps or anything

As you can see in one of the pictures they were even on the fins... that fish is still swimming so maybe someone else can catch it and find out more $:-\$

Beauties for sure! Those are some great fish

I posted a pic from December of a bigger bow I caught,... kid was so bummed I was putting it back. I explained that you'll never catch a 10 pounder if you keep every 5 pounder. Best part was I recorded the conversation from my pocket by mistake. I listened to it later and thought "damn, I'm not bad at this dad thing". Only took 15 years of practice

Black Sandy and the Causeway, and 02/25 and 02/26. Good ice at both. Caught a few other than what you see. Heck of a birthday weekend!
