Does anyone know if Pear winter killed last winter? Haven't fished it in two years, saying that we did have some luck on rainbows. I wouldn't mind giving Pear a shot again unless it winter killed of course.

still trout in there but not sure how many

All I can say is Pear used to hold big trout, but with the constant winter kills not much chance of any decent size these days. I can't tell you about last winter, I never fished it since.

saw lots of fish back in november that would have been stocked spring of 2019, very small. hopefully the lake holds on for a few years so it's worth fishing but doubtful. drove by today and access looked iffy but maybe doable for a decent 4x4.

Pear would be a good candidate for an aerator. Even just a windmill style.

No doubt. Wish they would have done that rather than spend thousands of $$$ blocking vehicle access and dredging out a kayak launch. Shame to see those fish go belly up year after year.

I actually went to a meeting of the fly fishing club in PA shortly after they spent all that money (for nothing IMO). I suggested an aerator and got stared at like I was an alien.

I was there today tried 4’-28’ of water didn’t see a fish on the camera or the ice.

might have been an off day but chances are deadville
