a few lakes in mind
« on: Sep 01, 2013, 08:12 PM »
ice fishing is around the corner again in about 4 months.   i been in my jon boat all summer in the wasilla lakes.    Cornelius Lake was brought to my attention.  I fished it a few times this summer. used fish finder on it, and its 60 feet deep in some areas and its a small lake. according to fish and game reports, its got a fair population of 10-20 + inch rainbows in it.   i know there was a crap load of salmon spawning in it.   has anyone ever fished this lake?

Any of the matsu lakes that have spawning salmon in them will produce good rainbows. In the winter

I have fished it from the shore in summer with so-so success.  Never fished it in the winter. But now you have piqued my curiosity. Its just down the road from me.
