Took a ride up big and little shag were a no go, Anderson and bass were fishable.

Tread lightly.

Thin ice, lots of snow, and warm temperatures are what you call “widowmaker conditions.”

Any idea if East Bass or Anderson are still OK after the warm-up last week?
Gonna head down to Gwinn tomorrow I think.

I heard 4+” of slush on top of about the same amount of ice.

Thanks! Was out yesterday - couple few inches of slush over 3-4 inches black ice. Slush was frozen in some places to give 6 in ice total, other places still sloppy. Cold weather next couple of days should solidify things nicely.

Heard that Big Shag is frozen (here and from some other sources) but haven't been out. How's the bite?
