Looks like you are a good craftsman. I would like to see more of your shack. Did you fabricate that dropdown frame or buy it?

awesome, did you plan on using the winch originally or did it come later as the weight came into play? excellent craftsmanship.

That heating unit is huge for that size of a shack! We should be able to spot you from the air. It'll be the one with no snow on the ice in about a 100 yard radius! Hope to see some pictures of this thing in action soon.

You do good work!

I could never see the purpose of the drop down hitch. You will have a lot more leverage to lift the hitch than trying to straighten out some double jointed contraption, unless they have figured out a way to winch those too.

Whats the purpose of the 110 connection? You intend to use the place in your yard as a getaway?

The builders wrap is smart, I hadn't thought about that for the one I'm planning.

You sure you want to listen to a motor run all day while you fish? You are supposed to be clearing out your soul while you're out there. Instead of the motors you hear 5 or 6 days a week, you need to listen to the ice rumble, and coyotes howling and the pheasants crowing.  I know those RV furnaces use a lot of juice, but as well as you built your shack I would think that a deep cycle battery would take care of it.

All you need is an inverter to run TV off your 12v battery. I bought a 400 watt on sale for $19.00 it works great also runs box for satellite dish.

Hey nice shack but I got a few questions for ya! Did you buy the trailer frame as a drop-down, or did you customize it? How much does it weigh? What did you use for the floor? Are the metal bars holding the cranks welded to the leaf springs? and finally could you take some closer pictures of the wheel/crank setup please? I have a 8x10 frame with an axle and never use it and I might do what you did. thanks for any help!

Maybe attitudes are different where you fish, but here, spoiling your neighbors day by running a generator could get you some sugar in your gas tank. The so called campers have long ago turned public "Campgrounds" into trailer parks in the woods, but at least  here anyway hunters and fishers still have respect for their neighbors experience.

Hey

Looking good buddy ;D Your already a step ahead of me. I certainly won't have mine completly done but done enough to be able to use for this year before too long.

I have to go to Vegas for a week on the 1st for training so that's going to hamper things a bit but at least it'll be warm. I'll just look like an albino, especially if I get in to go see the Nascar race.

How well does your fourwheeler pull in on the ice? i am kinda nervous that my fourwheeler is going to trouble pulling my new shack through the ice, but my shack is on skis, not wheels.
You never know what you've had until you've lost it.
