Thanks.  I ran out of time over the summer and never got to do any mods so that's why they are just now being done. I
already have started my list of to do's for this summer knowing that it will be nice to have everything finished in time for
the ice fishing season.

Nice mods! I like the storage idea. May want to figure out a way to keep it from slipping out if you have any rough drags down hills or through woods...just a thought.

With the seat, you may want to check how much weight it will be adding. I know some of the boat seats are a bit heavy. More then likely you'll be pleased with it though. One other thing you might want to consider, even if you end up keeping the old seat, is to add a swivel base to it.

I thought the same thing about both too. The tackle tray has already slid out once moving it around in the garage. Not
sure but I'm thinking about a velcro strap in front. The seat I have is ok but I know the one my friends going to get me
will be bigger and more stout. I'm happy with it though for the little time I have in it.

To prevent slide out, how about a mini bungee cord?  That way instead of having to remove it like a velcro strap, just pull it over and pull tackle out....  just an idea.

Definitely a slick storage idea Greg. A bungee was the first thing that came to my mind also. Although your idea of the velcro might even be better. Play with both, minimal investment, and see which you prefer.

No doubt you'll luv the new seat!

I wasn't sure how many people have the bench seat in their flip-overs compared to the 2 tubes that the chairs slide across. I also thought about completely removing the bench seat and making a sliding seat but I like having the sturdy
platform.

Hey I forgot to get some velcro, where's a good place to buy sticky back velcro? I thought maybe craft store or even Walmart.

Finally got some velcro to finish project. I found what I needed at Menards. It measures 3/4 x 18" one of each media. My
only concern is that over time pulling on the tabs will loosen the tabs on the tackle box. With this in mind I will hot clue it
to box if it pulls away. My other thought was to run small bolt and double flat washers through the middle of it. If all this
fails I will result to good old fashion bungee cord across front.

Finished most of my mods only little stuff left. Here is a pic of the runners I installed this evening. I could not find
these anywhere but ended up finding them at Franks Great Outdoors. $29.99 They installed fairly easy but if you
have a second set of hands around it helps with the tightening process.

Never soon enough! I got some strange looks from the neighbor when I had the shanty out in garage working on
it! I have a "to do" list and a "to buy" list. I have some of both lists complete so I guess that will save me time in
the Fall when I get my stuff out. Thanks again! ;D

Not considered getting it out if you never put it away. :) I've got my flip over in the room so I can tinker around with it here and there.

What ratio of seafoam and amsoil are you running to your gas? I'm running 80:1 amsoil in my tanaka/ nils combo right now.

What a beast! :clap:I have a 7" Lazer-Mag Express so when I saw yours I knew it was probably 8-10". My hand
auger is a 5" Lazer which usually works the early ice and the 7" takes care of the heavy stuff. You could pull
a hog through a 10" hole.
