New type of portable for me
« on: Sep 27, 2010, 04:40 PM »
I love my Frabill XLT. but I will more than likely have to change to a pop up or hub type portable this year. The two that I'm most interested in at this time are the Clam Summit and the Eskimo Quickfish 4 which I think is new for this year. They are both about 6'x8' and I would like to hear some pros and cons from the people that use this type of shack. Where I live it is pretty windy and I have been thinking that they could be pretty tough to set up when I'm alone. I wonder if my little buddy heater would heat one of these on a fairly cold and breezy day. I also have a Paulin heater that mounts on the top of a propane tank which would probably heat it with no problem. I would like to hear about any type of hub type shack that you guys are using. I could possibly find one that is better than these two brands through your posts.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.
