That is a $250 score I picked up back in '06 to use while I am guiding in other places than out of my camp!  That is not going to be a shanty!

Nice... I am new to the North Country. Fished NEK all last season and looking to hit the Conn lakes area this winter. I have an ATV, so let me know if you need help setting the shanty and in exchange you can teach me a thing or two

Nice looking project you have going there. I'm planning on building one out of a trailer one day myself. I saw one here in Michigan on Sag. bay that was on a trailer like yours. It had a drop down back door where the hauled the 4 x 4 quad. When they park the truck, the quad came out and had a regular hitch on it, hooked shanty to quad and off the whole thing went. The had chains on all 4 tires, and never had a problem they said pulling. Inside was holes cut in floor the size of 5 gal. pails. They cut the bottoms out of the pails, and when they stopped to fish, would push pail down to ice and fish right through it to keep wind out and away from hole. Worked great. Just a thought for fishing through your floor instead of removing axle. Then I saw the long winow on each side the was hinged, and was wondering why the window opened.......well, they removed ice gear in spring, and it became a portable hunting shack until the next winter! :) Pretty cool idea. Will keep an eye on the thread, looking nice. I like that stove also. I'd like to find a small woodstove like that.

Just bought a Jiffy Model 30 that should help offset the build cost once I clean it up a little!

Wondered where'd ya gone to... Put a TV antenna on mine the othe day with a flat screen 12 volt 13" TV, with the digital converter box it's amazing how many channels I get and also works great to hook the Aqua Vu up to it instead of the little screen!!!!

Well.................. ..I would like to say that we have been working on it but the house I am renting came up for sale again and I put in an offer on that. If everything goes through, I will be closing on the 20th of Aug and then the build will be full steam ahead!  I did pick up another portable though and yet another Jiffy Model 30.

We have been pounding the lakes in search of new places for the hardwater.......let me tell ya..........NHTF and I found a spot that people dream about....cool thing is, it is right here in NH!

Thank you for the update you certainly have a busy life. Also know if the temperatures in New Hampshire have been like New York you really do not want to work outside.

The temps have not been really that bad here so far. My fishing season I think might have come to a screaching hault last night when I lost forward and reverse in the boat. I hope to get it fixed but if it is something major, it will have to wait!

Sold an ice auger last night so there is a planned trip to Home Depot/Lowes to buy the flooring and some paint this weekend!  Might even splurge on some roofing material!
