i just added couple new rod holders to my scout. i decided to go with a holder that was some what soft/flexible...just in case something falls on the rod or i step on it. i had more rigid ones that were higher up and have broke a rod before when getting out when ice cleat got hung up on it. also went with lower to the ground so when i put them in the holder will leave jig close to same depth as when i was jigging.
