Seems like this is a late-season, Eastern thing.  But we got a case of it early season, in Idaho this year.

Yep, see a truck went through there too, all I've seen are varied reports on ice thickness so not real surprised that it happened.

Fished same place few days before--ice was good--3-4 inches- but warmer weather & wind was all it took-- glad they're OK

No safe ice.  Always waiting.
