I've been meaning to buy some bigger fishing rods.  my new job's home office is right off a pier on the hudson where guys fish for giant stripers.  and we are taking a vacation to alabama in the spring right on the beach and I wanted some stuff to use to fish.   no way to pass this opportunity up.

Alright I took everyone’s word for it and placed an order. This company is one and the same for the one on the BBB website out of South Carolina. Maybe there is so many complaints because of the amount of orders.

I'm pretty sure the purefishing site everyone is ordering from is out of Spirit Lake Iowa. I wouldn't be surprised that there could be two companies with the "purefishing" name though.
What does surprise me more is that the BBB is still a thing. Lots of better places to get reviews, not being accredited means the business just doesn't pay for a plan.

I got a couple of those Bass X rods on a Black Friday deal last year. Really nice for the price, I used them all spring/summer/fall jigging walleye. Dragging small jigs drift fishing mostly, lots of feel and still a nice soft tip for light pickups, they handled a few big carp and catfish just fine. I tried different reels and ended up with Ceymars, definitely recommended that combo

I've played with the Bass X's a couple times, they are very sensitive. I was really excited to get them for this price. Just sad I forgot to add in the ice rod before checking out. lolol
I got the bait casting models to go with some new reels I just picked up. An Abu Garcia Revo Beast X will go on the 7'10" heavy spooled with 40# Sufix 832 for pike and bowfin. A Revo Rocket will go on the 7'1" with 30# 832 for topwater or lipless.

I'm telling ya, this is a crazy deal and people should jump on it while they can.  I have no idea what is going on or if they are liquidating or if there is some disgruntled employee hacking codes.  Not really sure. 

Normally shipping kills a lot of these deals, but even THAT is free here.

I've never had a non-delivery of goods issue with PF.

I do expect at least one of the Fuel combos to have wonky eyes or a marginal reel, but I can live with that for the price. Normally have to sort though a stack of those at the store to find a really good one. They're just going to be beater spares for the kid, or situations I don't want to bring a good rod... slush, water, questionable early/late edges, etc.

I’ve gone to the well twice now in the last 24 hours, on everybody saying this company is legit. Unfortunately a common theme in the complaints department for this company is insufficient protection of shipped rods, with rods showing up either broken or guides messed up. I’m hoping A) my three different rod/reel combos show up and B) I don’t have to Jack around with returns, cuz that was another complaint from people.

jersey city.  i go to once a quarter.  my first time there there were guys on the pier appts and over off the hyatts pier fishing for giant stripers.    our office is right on the river.   and I was like i'm ordering stuff and sending it to the office.  i hadn't done it yet.  I'll use these on the shores of alabama in may but will ship them off to th office afterwards.
