Title: Few From Last Saturday

Had a chance to get out on a local pond last Saturday. Late start and larger than normal crowd on the ice pushed us to an area of this pond we hadn’t hardwater fished before. We experienced good strong action all day. Actually took us a while to get all traps set due to popping flags. We had never caught crappie on tip ups here before and the fast action made me wish I hadn’t forgotten the jig rod bag and PKs on the garage floor! Crappie were caught in 8-10 f.o.w with shiner 2-3 feet off bottom. Bass and yellow perch were caught all over the 4-10 foot mark and at varying heights from bottom. The larger pickerel were caught in +/-15 f.o.w with the shiner 3-5 feet below the ice.
