Perch eyes for gators

Going hunting for gators Saturday. How do perch eyes work for them ol’ gators? used them for bass before but not gators. Ice fish on!

Id use the whole perch before i would use just the eyes.jmo but thats a pretty small meal for northerns.

Northers will eat about anything if you get it around them. I use eyes all winter for everything.

Pike killer:  a good sized minnow on one point of a treble hook; hooked thru the lips with a perch eye on one of the other points; makes it look like a smaller fish running off with a perch eye. Envy is a powerful attractant for predators.
