So I deep fried some ling in my jetboil...

I’ve seen the normal catch and cook episodes, but looking at my jetboil I thought there was no way it wouldn’t work. It worked flawlessly and being as its such a compact package, I think I’ll be bringing it on the ice every time out for a fresh fish lunch or dinner. Give it a watch and let me know what you think. Or not

Nice, my cousin used to boil them in water with a onion and a few spices, not sure of his recipe though.

X2.  Just white flaky fish...tastes better fried!!!  If you get a lot of them and get tired of frying, baked is pretty good too...

X2.  Just white flaky fish...tastes better fried!!!  If you get a lot of them and get tired of frying, baked is pretty good too...

Fun watch! Lessons learned: take a sandwich for prime time! Take smell stuff for bait so you can just drop back, dress light so you don't get all sweaty! 
Years ago I had my bride with and we landed on them. After about 15 of cleaning them I was not sure I would do it again. Next day wife landed 50. Lol still fun. Later that day there was an earthquake while on the ice and a Boulder let loose and went through the ice. Wife has never gone back on the ice since then.

nice poks3 we have cooked em on the ice be fore also but we boiled em in beer with brats turned out great. but i like the jet boil thing going to put mine in the bucket form now on .

Haha! You’re right Scott! Had I not already had this planned and the meal was just an extra I would’ve planned my eating schedule a little different! But hey when 5:30 rolls around it’s dinner time, and I didn’t want to be doing it all in the dark.

They definitely aren’t easy to clean and I need to invest a whole $6 on some catfish pliers!
