3 inches of ice 10 feet from shore
« on: Nov 28, 2019, 10:41 PM »
In some places!!  Drilled some holes close to shore to flood the 1 inch of snow.  I could be fishing by Sat.  Meal worms are healthy, Eskimo auger is tuned and reels have new line on them.  Walked out 20' and the ice started to protest.  -17 tonight should get it a bit thicker.   ;)

Life gets in the way of a good ice fishing outing.  Non ice fishing Friends are all gone now.  Going out tomorrow.  No cheap shrimp in Williams lake.  All $9 and up.  A good $5 walmart small shrimp ring is my ticket.  Christmas parties cleaned them all out.  Meal worms it is.  Ice is 6+ inches.

Hasn't stopped snowing since Thursday night.  7" and the lake is flooding now.  6.5 inches of ice under the snow slush.  1 more inch and I can go out with that 680 pound Yamaha Venture sled.  I have taken the snowblower and made a trail to the fishing hole.  It is filled with water.  -12 tonight should firm it right up.  Shrimp went back in the freezer but will come out tonight.  Wishing

ya the snow doesn't help on fresh ice, pushed down and water will come out the hole once drilled from the weight.
But the fish will be biting somewherez. I like wearing insulated rubber boots overall the best- I like kamik mammoth I think they are my fav for ice fishing sitting around.
