6061 black Betty and Eagle claw
« on: Dec 29, 2013, 10:45 AM »
I bought 2 Eagle claws and a 6061  from 307,I'm using the Eagle claw for pan fish and the 6061 for Lakers. It's defiantly different then a spinning reel and it takes a little time to get used to.The free spool adjustment is great and will drop on the smallest jigs,The problem that I ran into is if your using the smallest jigs and get the littlest amount of ice in the guides or on the line on the spool  it interferes with the drop , the adjustment is that sensitive. I think it will work fishing in a shelter or on warmer days just fine.I think the 6061 will work fine outside using heavier jigs.
I saw a few of Tony's rods at 307 and  the are as professional as any on the market.
