Yellow Water

My dad, my friend, and I are going to fish Yellow Water in a few weeks.  None of us have fished it before and wonder if anybody has any advice?  We appreciate any pointers.

some buds went a couple weekends ago and caught 4 or 5 - 3 to 4 pound rainbows using corn..

That is the correct res.  Interesting....I really hope that it hasn't died out.  I guess that gives me something to blame it on if we get skunked.....right?

We finally made the trip and just wanted to make sure and let everybody know that it has not died out.  We got there late, noon, and missed the morning bite but still caught 4 bows, all between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 lbs.  The people we talked to said that it had really started to slow down by time we got there.

I managed to catch a few like that also out of there.
They are nice trout

Fished the res. on the 10th. missed a few tip-ups. Landed one 5lb rainbow after almost losing the rod and rod holder down the hole. They were hitting on shrimp imitations, small white ratso gulp, maggots...nothing really big. Had a great time. About 20 people out after the posting of the picture of the nice bow earlier in the week. I'll post a pic of my bow soon.
