perch eat smaller perch?

How common is it? Looking at getting some handtied jigs that mimic small perch. Just wondering if its worth it.

Pretty much all fish are cannibals, that's why you do not see perch minnows with large perch. If it's smaller than them they'll eat it.

yes...perch eat perch....most fish are not fussy....if they can suck it down it is dinner...

I caught a few perch last year that spit up little tiny 1 1/2" perch... I threw them on my jig and used them.... they worked pretty darn good too!

Good to know. Im getting some hand tied jigs that mimic small perch. Cant wait to use them!

Yeah they do. One day I was using perch pattern jigs and they were hammering them. Most of the time they were hitting so hard I thought they were pike.
