!2/30 ice conditions
« on: Dec 30, 2008, 12:36 PM »
Drilled holes 100 yds. from boat launch at Tyler Lake, less than 3 inches ice. Jigged up a couple of blue gills, but the ice was talking to me so I got off. Same at Dog pond. 5 to 10 feet of open water south bay of Bantam Lake. Litchfield Launch is locked in but 70% of the lake is open water. Going to try Winchester tomorrow. One note, the air temp was about 35 degrees, wind 20-30 mph. I was wearing new Arctic Armor with only street clothes (tee shirt, jeans , sweatshirt). Warm as could be.

Hey mungo---What did you mean 5 to 10 feet of open water at Bantam. Did you mean from the shoreline that you have to go out 5 to 10 feet to see/be on ice?? Thanks!
