Slow day but one stunner of a fish
« on: Jan 20, 2014, 05:13 PM »
I just got a couple larrys at 15 inches and a 19 inch smallie, incredible. The lake I was at, catching one smallmouth is like getting a 10 pound walleye. This is the second one I've seen this year.

If you get a photobucket account (free) it can automatically import your facebook pics. Very very easy to get pics from photobucket to here. I admit to having a vested interest in seeing a nice smallie, never got one through the ice.

19" smallie is a truck under the ice, either handline or jig pole. I've lost em around that size, one I saw it's eyeball at the hole, about the size of a quarter before it made a run and said "see ya."
A smart person would watch the few that ventured to the ice sheet, the daring would follow in their boot prints, but the pioneers would already be heading to where they belong.

that is a real nice small.
