BILLS - WILL THEY RIGHT THE SHIP ?!
« on: Nov 16, 2022, 07:31 PM »
I am a Bills fan since 1987, due to living out there for a couple of short stints in 1987-88 and again in 1992-93. My daughter is in her first year at UB so I can't stay away from Buffalo for at least 3 more years.

I am expecting a ton of desperate and hopefully at least a few insightful replies from brothers that are Western NY'ers / Bills Mafia types on this. Is Josh Allen going back to his reckless 2018 style of play for the rest of the season or is he going to straighten things out now and cruise to the AFC East title. Every remaining game with AFC East opponents will feel like a playoff game , but maybe that is not a bad thing.

The 1st interception against the Vikings was not a horrible outcome given that it was on 4th down, but THAT FUMBLE could haunt us the rest of the season, and calls into question whether Josh has enough composure for a stressful situation like that. I thought after beating KC, slaying that dragon finally in week 6,  that his composure and confidence problems had been resolved, but that does not appear to be the case. They will be showing that end zone fumble on NFL choke jobs top 10 lists for the next 50 years.

Where are the Bills headed, was that loss to Minnesota the wakeup call they needed so that they can now regroup and put games away once they have the lead, or is every game going to be a crapshoot. Is it better that they struggle a little while still with one of the better records and time to make adjustments, than to be undefeated and then get shocked in the playoffs due to a lackof adversity during the regular season ?

Looking forward to the replies and predictions  / frustrations /  general insights to this awesome football team !!!!!

As a Browns I would say this should be a perfect week for the Bills to get back on track.  The only reason it could be a game is the weather.  If it's not a snowstorm you should expect the Bills to destroy Cleveland!

The game has been moved to Detroit and this probably benefits the Bills more than the Browns even though the Bills lose a home game. The Browns have an awesome 1-2 punch in their running game the last I knew with Hunt and that other guy, and if the snow was still falling in Buffalo at game time then it would be a running game and the Bills do not scare anyone with their running backs. In conditions that make throwing passes an adventure, the Bills are at a disadvantage as proven by that windy game last season at home in which New England only attempted 3 passes, ran the ball and won the game.

So, it is a fun fact now that the Bills will play 2 consecutive games in Detroit in a span of 5 days, the 2nd being on Thanksgiving. Have they ever played 2 games in the same week in their own stadium before ?

Even when they lose, the Bills play some memorable games lately and they are never out of a game because of the dynamic offense they have. I am with them all the way, and there are a whole bunch of NFL teams that wish they had the players we have. GO BILLS   ;)

A win is a win I suppose, now 7-3 on the season. The Thanksgiving day game at Detroit ( again ) should be interesting. Detroit is playing very well right now, on a 3 game win streak and handily defeated the Giants yesterday. The Bills offense will need to be in top form to come out  with a win

Used my old maintenance pass to watch da bills game at a 1/2 full ford field yesterday. No way I'm mixing w/ da Thanksgiving crowd on turkey day & I've never drank the thunder kitty KOOL-AID but after da team spending a week here & seeing what happened in Minnesota , I'd take the points & the kitties to win outright.

Well, it looks like Squirrel Winter will get to take this weekend off from clearing Josh Allen's driveway to be able to get to Detroit.

The Bills had success with the 1-2 running back punch against the Browns, so maybe Allen won't be trying to do so much for a few games at least.

The Bills are 7-3 , and the 3 losses were to teams having a combined 21-9 record, and all the losses were withing 1 score, so minus a bad paly or 2 in each of those games they could be 10-0.

It can be argued that they are still the best in the AFC based on their strength of schedule, which is brutal when compared to the 9-1 Eagles.

I don't dislike the Lions, but I really want to see a Bills BLOWOUT in this one, I dunno something like 51-13 would be nice to have.

Sorry RonnieD  ;D

Allen’s elbow needs time his throws are obviously off alittle because he makes those throws normally the INT’s are another thing.
