Goose bay, Chippewa bay

Any idea when these bays generally lock up? Looking to plan a trip this year. Idk if we lucked out early Jan last year.

Thanks! Still trying to figure it out a bit  We’re looking to get up to goose bay or chip bay early ice. We went to Chippewa bay last year in the beginning of Jan. It was sketch but not too bad. I just want to know if it’s generally ok early Jan.
