Title: Last Ice Fishing in Western, NY (Huge Northern Pike and Rainbow Trout!)
Post by: Creighster on Apr 10, 2022, 06:22 PM
Posted to the video board, but I figured I would post it here too. Overall it was a very poor year of ice fishing for me in Western, NY (I did OK on the PA side of the boarder) this past season. But last ice did manage to produce one life-time highlight at the very end! It was her first time ever ice fishing! I had friends on other waters in the area that also did very well that day for big trout and crappie. After a slow first ice and a terrible mid-season the big fish decided to turn on that second-to-last weekend when things first started warming up! After a slow season those of us that stuck it out on the hard-water (half my first went after steelhead that weekend) were rewarded!
