Title: Mille Lacs - seeking advice for trip Feb 16-18
Post by: T-Hawker on Feb 10, 2018, 09:41 PM
My wife, daughter and I rented a sleeper shack through Mac's Twin Bay for Feb 16-18.  With the 1 walleye per person limit, we're actually hoping to get on some perch.  Never fished the lake before (we're in north central Wisconsin)

Anyone willing to give some spots or at least some pointers about depth, structure, bait, lures, etc to target perch?  We are bringing a pop-up so we can stay mobile during the day (seems like the walleye bite has been a definite morning and last light / night bite).

Some reports I'm seeing state that the perch are coming into the "shallows" after crawdads.  Anyone have any idea of what depths "shallows" would be this time of year?

We'll be on the SE corner of the lake and hope to be able to stay in that general quadrant of the lake but we're open to any options.

Thx,
