Anyone know condition ice on shelburne pond VT is. and how has bite been. I'm 3 hours away lookong for Pike Thank you in advance

Shelburne pond with good ice is not worth a 3 hour drive for northerns or anything for that matter.

you can find better water to fish if you drive 20 minutes in any direction from Shelburne is what we're getting at

Yea we’re just saying the Pike fishery there isn’t worth the travel. I regularly make 3 hour trips to chase skis but not to places where they’re no bigger than 20” lol. Good luck wherever you end up and be careful the ice isn’t very good in this neck of the woods right now

Thank you!  We just changed plans headed to Lake Bomoseen  never fished that before. 20 years ago me and buddy caught 2 pike 37in and a 36 out of Shelburne have not fish  it since then.

I've had some luck when chasing perch there...three weeks ago three of us hit our limits on good sized ones in about 45 minutes (after 4 hours where we were basically skunked). It's definitely not worth a special trip, though.

That was way before about every fish was upside down floating on the shores. It's getting better after the major die off, but slowly.
