Title: Locating the Mega-School! (*Underwater view*)
Post by: jigmaster5 on Mar 06, 2024, 04:41 PM
Last ice trip of the season!  This was only 1.5 wks ago, but seems like longer.  Snow pile at the end of my driveway is down to a few scraps of snow....and most of the ponds near me are now ice free. That was fast!  Warm, wind + rain will do that!!

But on this trip, the ice was still solid. Hard part was locating a mega-school of fish. I never really got on the main school, but I got on the edges of them & put together a good trip. And I learned some new things with the underwater camera that I can put to use next season on the ice.

Check it out if you have some time...and now it's time for open water...  :'(

Imagine watching a 60 ft swath of those fish spooking.  See it on livescope often.  Sometimes in the boat the bow slapping will spook lakers when im on spot lock.
