I got out fishing, finally.

But only caught this.
7 Peamouth chub and a squaw fish at the top.  All members of the minnow family.  Going to fillet some and smoke them and then can them.  Only a few jars though.  But I finally got out and caught something.  I know only Asians eat peamouth chub but  this dude is going to try it.  and proof below.

I have a freezer full of those to use for a grad prank and set line bait. I dont mind eating bigger sqauws they taste like rainbow in this cold water.

Nice! Well as the saying goes "where there's peamouth, there's ling" a buddy would bring 1 worm to catch a peamouth then use that for ling and always have success.
I have an Alaskan malamute, and I freeze all my peamouth and northern pikeminnows for him in summer time. In the high heat he will eat them like a popsicle, propped up between his paws

Good to see. Went to a lake and it was non stop action for coarse fish. Great fun for kids who enjoy steady action where you could catch hundreds of them if you wanted to.
Someone should plant some burbot in there cuz with that much food for them they would prolly grow fast quickly..
