Post by: Iceshanty on Jan 11, 2005, 08:06 AM
Pennsylvania  News and Info

News

The Reports and Condition (http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?board=53.0) section is now open. We have made a few changes to this section this year. The most noticeable will be that only members will have access. A second change is that new lakes will be added on a case by case basis. Please keep the posts in this section to only Icefishing Reports and Ice conditions.

Being originally from PA myself, I know that the ice conditions there can vary extremely from one area to another and thought I would post this link from the Fishing and Boating Commissions page on ice safety. Click here (http://sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/Fish_Boat/icesafe.pdf) for the PDF.

Stay Safe and here's to PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL not seeing his shadow   Oh, so I guess you wanted him to see his shadow so you could ice fish longer :( Well at least you finally got some decent ice to fish from ;D After all you can't have your cake and eat it too you know; well that is unless you live in Alaska  By the way I'm adding on my 18" extension to the power auger the next time I go out so I'll be sure to have enough to get through.

Nice addition Brad!  Hey, ol' Phil lied to us last year, so this year maybe him not seeing his shadow will be a good thing.  Daggone lyin' varmint!  Someone oughtta shoot that varmint and replace him with another one, say, Bill the groundhog...or give him some glasses and stop feeding him beer!
