Every year, winter gives way to spring. We all know that. However, you may not know that for some, that transition leads to the onset of Post Ice Season Depression. That's right, some of us get PISD!. Don't worry though, it is only temporary for the afflicted. Hang in there!

Yep, I'll be experiencing that between now and ice out.

Hung it up after last saturday, pisd is in full swing now.

Switched right over from ice fishing to coho fishing. Still havent put ice gear away, the transition happened that fast! Lol

I cure that with a big dose of pike bass and crappie mixed together on the river. we mite not have to wait long for the lakes to open up though this year.

I came up with that term this week. It gave me and my friends a laugh after our last time out for the season.
It is tough to see the season end for those of us who live and love to ice fish. It was a good season. I learned
some new tricks, found some new spots and met some new people. We are all blessed to be able to enjoy this sport.

I dont get it cuz I'm in waders before ice out. Love this time of year for fly fishing. Got out yesterday with fly rod with the warmer temps. Raining like crazy which doesnt bother me. A good crack of lightning near me had me putting down the 10 foot lightning rod and headed home. First ice out when you can get boat in can be good smallmouth fishing too

The one thing I can't wait to try again is the DIY hook-set I made with a mousetrap.
